Blake worked so hard mowing grass to earn the money he needed to save for his new guitar! He finally got it! Way to go, Blake!!

First Field Trip-- The Katy Trail

We just started our first year of home schooling and we love it! To celebrate, we took our first field trip this Monday already! (Because we can!) :) We went to ride the Katy Trail! Shawn and Melissa had gone there last Fall and spent two and a half days together riding over 60 miles. So we knew the perfect spot where we could go ride along the river (Treloar, MO) We think it was super impressive that McKenzi (7) was able to hold out on Monday for 14 miles total! The only glitch was that Kaylee's bike's brakes went out! Could have been hazardous if we had been at our usual bike riding spot-- St. Joe's park in Park Hills! It's SO hilly! Yikes!
